Scarce year,hard to tell from Pics. but the gap in the Emu's leg(to the shield) is a major marker for a Chinese fake.
Hope yours is ok but the coin needs further investigation.

Thank you, Basil. I'll try a specific gravity test when I get. To me it looks like silver, though.

Genuine should be 5.65 grams, .925 fine sterling silver.
Check for weight and
ping tone against known genuine British or Australian shilling of same alloy. Most fakes ping at a higher pitch.
