Large coin 41mm weight 29.25 silver.878

So not great condition but not expensive and I like the size
Quite shiny fellow. Next target is a 1871 4 riksdaler they are a stunning design. But might be hard to find for a bargain.

Congratulations on the acquisition. There are some interesting features. For example there is a large die chip at the base of the bust and a small one above the King's head. Also the 9 and 0 look like they could have been repunched over an earlier date. With these markers, you may be able to find other examples that were struck from the same dies. This one may have had an old polishing.

Excellent acquisition, Moniker - that's a beautiful Riksdaler!
Inordinately fascinated by bits of metal with strange markings and figures
