Seldom seen, the ninepenny token was issued only as a proof pattern, and in very limited quantities, so I'm delighted to have finally nailed one down! Still hunting for that elusive 1816 3/- piece, without which the whole BOE series -- only fifteen types and dates overall -- can't be finished.
This date set -- 3 shillings, 18 pence, and 9 pence -- are Davis 52, 64, and 71 respectively.
I never pay too much for my tokens...but every now and then I may buy one a little too soon.
