Back again with questions. These notes were in an uncle's collection. I'm betting someone on this forum can identify. If not, is there an app that I could download to identify?

You have a somewhat-circulated 1 Riyal note from Saudi Arabia. Hard to tell from the photo but it might be a P31c. You can pick up uncirculated examples for $1 - 2 US on ebay.

P.S. It always helps with identification if you post both faces of the note in question.

Google Lens is a wonderful tool to identify unknown bills and coins.
You can use Numista to find out more information after you have identified it:

In this regard, just a regular Google search would probably work wonders. Just take a picture of your note, as square-on as you can get it (i.e. not off at an angle as the OP picture is), and crop out as much of the non-note background as you can. Especially for current or near-current notes, there should be plenty of examples for Google's algorithms to find a match.

Although I rarely use it (partly b/c I like to do everything the long way & search as many resources as I can), you can also tap into the Image button {SEARCH} on Numista.
Try this link:
https://en.numista.com/catalogue/in...?ct=banknote

(LOOK for the ICON below "the" (& All Issuers box) in Search the banknote catalogue. It has a + >camera icon< Image next to + Edit Filters button. Once you select that Image Search button, it will prompt you to upload your image & once you do that- Numista will connect you to the correct note).

walk2dwater, thanks for that tip! I've never used Numista's image search but will now!

The date on this note is at the bottom left, between the signatures and the large "1": AH 1433, which more or less translates to AD 2012.
