Hi all I have finally completed the type set I had been working on since 2012.

The type set I was working on was the first and last year of each monarchs reign in Australian pre-decimal coins.

The first coins issued had the effigy of King Edward VII and were dated 1910. This was also the year he died so this was the only year Australian coins had his effigy on them.

The coins are:

1910 3d

1910 6d

1910 1/-

1910 2/-

1911 1d

1911 3d

1911 6d

Thank you ijn1944 much appreciated.

After King George V died on 20 January 1936 King Edward VIII took over as king.

There was a lot of debate as to whether he would remain the king or abdicate as he was determined to marry Wallis Simpson who was a divorcee and this was frowned upon at the time.

He eventually abdicated on 11 December 1936 and his younger brother Prince Albert took over as king and became King George VI.

The first coin issued was the 1937 Crown.

The first full issue of his coins was 1938.

1938 1/2d

1938 1d

1938 3d

1938 6d

1938 1/-

1938 2/-

1938 5/-

To the OP:- excellent !

Decades ago, I completed an Australian type set in silver and bronze, - the hard way,
where each type was represented by the rarest date, - except for the 1930 Penny, that was substituted by a 1925 example, - scarcer types in about good VF ( British grading) more common coins in uncirculated,
along with an
Australian gold type set, that included an Adelaide Pound in good VF, an 1855 Sydney Mint Sovereign, good Fine an 1856 Half sovereign good Fine, 17 gold coins in all.

Sold all of the above in 1976, together with about 80 ancient coins (including a gold aureus and a gold solidus), to raise deposit money in support of a mortgage on our first house.

The wife and family and home turned out to be far more valuable.
