Thanks for the heads up.

I found the 5-oz RCMP coin interesting. But $650 is expensive for me.

$650 for $200 worth of Silver is a significant premium. You really need to be committed to the design and the aesthetic to buy in.

I'm partial to the $50 (five-ounce) RCMP anniversary coin's design aesthetics over the $20 (one-ounce) coin. Much more interesting and intriguing, IMO.

I'm not intrigued enough to become a buyer at the moment - but maybe someday down the line at a more attractive price point.

I agree, despite the idea that the most prominent coin is the coin that got me watching my change back when I was 10 years old. I swear I could hear a 'Mounty Quarter' rattling in my dad's pocket without seeing it.

"Mountie on Horseback" was the Mint's stated entrance criteria for this coin. All previous coin designs included on the coin feature an RCMP officer riding a horse - the 1994 RCMP "Last Dog Patrol" SD, for example, didn't make the cut.

The $50 coin was apparently popular with the Mint's direct-purchase customers as it is already "Sold Out" via the Mint. It does appear to be available in the marketplace, however, from secondary retailers.
