"Eagle poised on a bank of clouds: The United States Silver Dollars of 1795 to 1798" by Harry E. Salyards

I have not received a copy yet, but it looks interesting. Harry is the long time editor of the Early American Copper club (1986-Present) and a really knowledgeable person when it comes to early
United States coins of all denominations and just a super nice guy as well. The book is 277 pages and hardbound in blue cloth with gold gilding and a nice printed dust cover. Priced at $145.00
From bookseller David Fanning:
"An important new contribution on the subject, Salyard's book provides full information on each die variety, including die state information, and revised rarity ratings based upon a thorough examination of the offerings in the numismatic marketplace over the past thirty years. The author investigates and puts to rest a number of false assumptions regarding the early silver dollars of the United States, their designs and their use in circulation."
A book I'm sure will soon be in my numismatic library and will surely become a classic.
