"You may not use any wording that suggests getting around Paypal fees whatsoever, including asking for additional money to cover them."

edited by staff to add quote tags to clarify. This quote was posted way back in 2015 shortly after the current rules were first posted.

Wondering why the CCF is even still hosting coin sales?

The mission of this forum is education ... and to that end many of us have endeavored to contribute knowledge.

Humbly suggest ... take the forum back to it's mission ... and if folks leave because they are unable to sell here ... well

So be it and good-bye to them.

My views.

I appreciate the education learned from this board as a newbie; invaluable. In regards to selling/buying I don't meet the criteria, but I see this site as less intimidating than others when it comes to those transactions. There's a point of where you feel like you get to know someone (total stranger) somewhat after reading hundreds of post and a sense of trust, although that is based on faith. I've never sold a coin in my life but I think this forum would be a good starting point and who knows what one brings from both ends of the transaction.

Hunter611:

Is that just for selling that you feel that way or is it the trading listing and wanted listings (buying ) also?

I think Hunter did not use the QUOTE feature. Everything above the sentence that says MY VIEWS is from page 1 of this thread it appears.

This was Hunters part of the comment:

Don't even try to mess around in here or you will be suspended. It is much better to ask first and learn the easy way than to get suspended and learn the hard way. These guys don't mess around. I got suspended once, and I deserved it. First and only indication I was suspended was a message from a moderator who only wrote "enjoy your vacation", so there was some humor in it.

From then on, it's been nothing but "yes sir" and "no ma'am from me. So take it from someone who knows the hard way...

Two questions:
1) When a selling transaction is completed we are asked
to remove it:
"Topics should be moved to the ended section by using the Report this Post to the Staff link and letting us know it's over."
I do not see a 'Report this Post to the Staff link'
within my post.
How is this accomplished?
2) If a member misses out on an offer and contacts me to see what else I have is it permitted to do business with him or her? This is happening now.
I do NOT want to break any rules!

The "report post" link is at the bottom of your post on the right side. Opposite your "Brother can you spare a Barber dime?" signature.

It's ok as long as they have the required 50 posts.
