I have what looks like a proof but then I read that Denver mint is the best and hardly has any errors. My Delaware quarter from 2021 has several. Am I looking at it wrong or is it possible and is profitable. Thanks

If it is a die event, then there is no die errors on the coin. Die events are part of the aging process. A mint error would be striking issue, stock material issue. Damage to a coin is not a mint error. Damage post strike would not a mint error. So unless we can see see the image, we can't identify what your coin looks like.

Not an error coin. There is no way that could happen when the coin was struck
Just a badly damaged coin known as road kill.
Also if it is a proof, it would have an S mint mark, not a D.
