Subscriptions: Bill Reid Coin Card is available as a subscription that will add special coins when issued Bill Reid Special Wrap set also available as a subscription that will add special wrap coins when issued 2oz Silver Moose Imposing Icons series $189.95
Unfortunately, no notice of a 5 coin plio pack for the Bill Reid $2 as has been mused on other threads.
Personally, I am drawn to First Nations art on Coins and I find the Haida Grizzly Bear reverse on the Gold, Silver and $2 coins very compelling. I can't see any circulation release for the $2 remaining in the wild for long.

Thanks for the August update - I had a feeling that you might provide it for us! I might have had an interest in the NWT coin if it were a smaller format - I like coins that mark Canada's formation/early days. My interest dissipates quickly, however, due to its 2 oz. format.

Bill Reid Commemorative Keepsake - Card containing both coloured and plain $2 and regular $1-5c
Priced CAD 22.95
I think, will order one...since we will not have circulation packs and the card has good design.
NWT coin - very curious to see.

I think the NWT design is the most original and refreshing in this release. I like this coin.

@YesOrNo: Thanks for sharing the image of the NWT coin. I agree with you, it has an original design and a look all its own. Upon seeing the Bill Reid silver $20 coin earlier today, I immediately thought of the 2012 Two Loons silver dollar. I'm not sure if it was the use of similar colours or a similar design style, but it seems familiar. They are both 38 millimeters in diameter and both feature applied colour over engraved designs on their reverse. The coins would likely make for a nicely matched pair for those with an interest in the art style. 2012 Two Loons Silver Dollar

@commems, that's what I thought about the Bill Reid silver coins too: it reminds me of the 2012 Two Loons.
Both were copied from existing artwork of native cultures; and both were painted 1 oz coins.

@vonigohcr: Thanks for the link!
Yes, I'm familiar with the image on the bill, but it never made me think of the Two Loons coin like the new Reid $20 silver coin.

Quote: I think the NWT design is the most original and refreshing in this release. I like this coin. Thank you, YesOrNow, for the picture. The coin looks great. The new Haida Bear coins, for me reminds mostly coins in the the set: www.mint_ca/store/coins/5-oz.-fine-silver-3-coin-subscription---mythical-realms-of-the-haida-series---mintage-1500-2016-prod2460533That's truth, that the dimensions fit mostly "Two Loons", but the art work style itself is different. Update: I do not know, why the script of inserting URL doesn't work here. It converts mint dot ca to mint_ca and hence URL becomes broken.....so just copy it to browser, replace underscore to dot and follow.

Few hours ago visited the Post Office branch and was surprised to see the 2020 Bill Reid cons set. Since I was decided, that I want the set, it was great opportunity to get it from there and not to deal with shipping. So the set: The price is OK, after tax it will be near CAD 25. The booklet with coins is sealed, but sealed the way, that it can be unfolded to view the content (so basically the wrap encloses the card along all the length). The round sticker "We Remember...." on front of the card, bottom left side (it on the card and not on the wrap), may suggest, that this element has been approved later, or design upgraded later, after the cards have been printed. But it my assumption only. Two Loonies with Haida Grizzly Bear - yes, they great, and my favourite is non-coloured one. Here are images:

@Silveroid: Thanks for the images of the Bill Reid Collector Keepsake! There's no doubt that the artwork on the three-coin set you referenced is closer in style to the new Bill Reid coin. The coins in the set match stylistically as well as in the colours used. I think what made me think of the Two Loons coin was the edge-to-edge coloring over engraved surfaces aspect of the Reid coin. Most other RCM coins with edge-to-edge colouring have the colour applied over flat surfaces (i.e., no engraving). It's nice to be having a discussion about coins!

@commems, the Bill Reid silver coin seems to have flat surface as well; I don't see any engraving on that coin.

@YesOrNo: Maybe I shouldn't believe what the RCM posts on its web site! After all, they've been known to make a mistake or two! From the coin's sales page: "The reverse design features red, white and black over the engraved rendering of Xhuwaji, Haida Grizzly Bear by renowned Haida artist Bill Reid (1920-1998)."

From my rep regarding the Bill Reid coin:
"The silver image is not correct. It is paint on a engraved surface."

"The silver image is not correct. It is paint on a engraved surface." If this is true, there are a lot of bad images and press out there https://canadiancoinnews.com/artist...lation-coin/In this article, the images clearly show a painted flat field (decal?) on the silver coin and in the detailed description, the gold coin is called out as an engraved version but the silver one is not. And yes... it is nice to be talking about coins
