Not sure what these notes are. I'm not seeing them in any of the krause catalogs. Wondering if these are some sort of bond or something similar?   |

The bottom note says (translated)This certificate guarantees your contribution to the revolutionary cause. That seems more fun to me than the stamps we got in the 1950s for donating money to charity.

The are bonds from the revolution. There are many variations for denominations with huge lower amounts being more common. Nice pieces of history!
These have a values of $5-$10

Those are a great little group. I was stationed in GTMO in my younger years and so always enjoy seeing numismatic material from there!  |

@ first note:
These are the 3rd series of Movimiento 26 de Julio, dated 26 July 1958. Apart from the readily available 2, 5 and 10 Pesos there is also a 100 Pesos and a 10 Bolivars bono in this series. The 10 Bolivars were used in revolutionary fundraising among sympathizers in Venezuela. The latter two are extremely hard to find.
@ second note:
This one is from the first series of Movimiento 26-7. Although forgeries are known, this one is real and for use within Cuba. Variations with green back print exist
with overprint "EDICION EXTRERIOR" for use abroad.

Just discovered this new variety, M-R-26-7, "Mes del Soldado Rebelde" series, 1 Peso, October 1958. Anomalously printed on plain white paper.  "Normally" these were printed on greenish-grey paper with a wavy line pattern:  I'm working on a catalog for this kind of material but it's hard to find any useful information about them. finally the last one I still lacked from the Tipo 1 issue (Cigar Island revolutionary scrip): 100 Pesos. Seems to be even tougher than the 1000 (of which I have 2 already).   |
