When sold to me, this was misidentified as portraying Constantine the Great, but it's clearly instead Constantine II, minted at Heraclea. A well centered strike on a pretty round flan. It seems to generally conform to RIC VII 77, but there are a couple of anomalies to mention. Note the dot in the lefthand field of the reverse, as well as there being seven layers to the campgate. I'm not supposing that either of these discrepancies should be taken as too significant, perhaps making for just a minor variant of an otherwise very common type.
RIC describes the type as having a "varying number of stone layers", A footnote for no. 77 states 5-9 layers. Officina B is apparently relatively rare, rated R3 (4-6 total in collections surveyed) and accounting for only 3 of 60 examples of no. 77 in the Nagyteteny Hoard.
Very interesting. I notice on a few coins that there are minor variations like your not listed in wildwinds and other places even the RIC. mostly its dots stars, placements of hands (up down) and weapons leaning or straight up.
