These are weird little banknotes. I guess in the 70's, Italian banks issued mini checks like this 150 lire 'check' as a banknote.

Quote: Just received an original 1965 Queen Elizabeth II Bahamas $3 bill. Which reverse do you like better, the sunbathers or the sailboats? The 1965 bill is certainly more colourful.
-It's a tough call as the early notes are very attractive but the 1986 Series from Bahamas are no "slouches" either. I also like the 1992 Commemorative $1 which features Christopher Columbus. I honestly like all the designs but the P-49 $100 (with the blue marlin on the back) is exceptionally impressive (& hard to find). https://en.numista.com/catalogue/note274556.htmlA lot of the higher denominations ($10 & up) are especially tough to find in the better grades. @commems added a nice thread on $1.00 banknotes from Bahamas: http://goccf.com/t/409411He shows three early versions from the 1960's 1965 "The Bahamas Government" 1968 "Bahamas Monetary Authority" 1974 "Central Bank of Bahamas"

Thanks @walk2dwater for the links, that's very interesting. The marlin bill would be nice to have.

Not my highest denomination note but getting up there, here is a 1923 500,000,000 Mark German Notgeld from the District of Palatinate in the Federal State of Bavaria. The purple in the note has held up well with time.

Yugoslavia has many odd denominations including this 1993 5,000,000 dinara note featuring Nikola Tesla who looks creepy AF on this note. On the reverse is a Tesla coil and a hydro power plant.

For US notes there is an out-of-print pamphlet of odd US denominations. Mostly broken banks. The pamphlet is 32 pages long with around 75-100 notes in denominations from 5 Mills (5/100ths of a cent) to a $3000 note from Morris Canal and Banking. Let me know if you want anything specific posted from the pamphlet.
