Hi CollectionMaster, I tend to look out for unusual coins and silver coins if I can. I'm trying to build a collection of coins from all around the world.

mrv -- you really work the car boots! What fun, and nice, realistic buys for you. I was unfamiliar with the term 'car boot' and wondering, is that usually a single seller off the road side, or an organized multi-car boot event? Never saw such in the U.S. ! Thanks.

Thanks Hoxsie454, they are multi car events, it is really a question of getting there early and making sure you find the right person. There are times when you get nothing but that's part of the fun.

I've been working in the west country this week and found a antique shop. They had a bunch of 243 coins for £20, I got a bunch of US commerative coins, 1927 silver half crown and 1955 Austrian silver 25 schilling in mint condition.

I've had a massive score today, went to a carboot and brought over 600 coins for £30. I got 36 silver coins including a 1842 Half Dime, 1832 3 pence and a uncirculated 1787 six pence, will post pictures once I can get my phone working.

If you have scored a truly uncirculated (British grading) 1787 sixpence, you have got lucky. That coin by itself would have justified the purchase of all 600.

Pictures of the six pence will post the other coins later, I think this is the no hearts variety.

Not uncirculated.
EF (cleaned) (British grading).

Still, a very nice pick up.

Thanks sel_69l and jbuck for the replies I have attached a photo of the 36 silver coin I found. I will try to post better pictures. The best coins are

1787 six pence
1843 1.5 pence
1832 3 pence
1900 florin
1872 Half Dime sorry not a 1842 Half Dime
1936 10 Italian lira
1901 Indian rupee
1950 50 centesimi Somalia

They are some wonderful non silver coins which I will post later. I did think that I would not better this score for a while... well I was working away this week in the midlands and found a old fashon junk shop, the owner had a box of coins and notes for sale, I paid £45 this is the most I've ever paid but I just had a good feeling about this.

The coins from the junk shop, 54 silver coins in total including:

1922 Peace dollar
1927 Standing Liberty quarter
1906 dime
1835 gothic florin
Worn George iii crown
Worn Victoria half crown
1899 shilling
1885 shilling
1936 dime
