I haven't been a fractional collector but I couldn't pass this one up & won it on a low-ball bid. It's P-3a. a 102 year old 50 Centimes from Monaco. Not much to look at, quite off-centred, but at least original (& not pressed):

The Lao Issara ("Free Laos") was an anti French, non communist nationalist movement formed on October 12, 1945. This short-lived movement emerged after the Japanese defeat in World War II and became the government of Laos before the return of the French. It aimed to prevent the French from restoring their control over Laos. The Lao Issara movement disbanded in 1949.

The Lao Issara issued four different banknotes, from them I have one of 50 Att (unit of Kip).

Translation of the back:
"The counterfeiter or dealer of counterfeit banknotes will be punished with hard labor imprisonment from 5 years up to life sentence and all of its properties will be confiscated according to art. 5 - law 18 January 2489 ( 1946 )
The Minister of finances Mr. Katay Don Sasorit"

In 1975, the Khmer Rouge (KR) took control in Cambodia. They prepared new set of 7 banknotes but, since they wanted to establish an "agrarian moneyless society", the banknotes were not issued. Here are the 2 first KR notes which are fractions of Riel:

0.1 Riel (1 Kak):

0.5 Riel (5 Kak):
