Deceptive seller with many counterfeits and fantasies with a sprinkling of genuine coins. There are some counterfeits of struck coins as well. The counterfeits are all advertised as genuine.

Lots of oversized cash coins. The strokes on the characters are too thick. The patina is the same throughout all of the coins. Also notice how some common Qing cash are being counterfeited as well.

Large-size cash and fantasy issues. The patina is the same throughout all of the listings.

Many have cheap green patina, thick character strokes, or improper caligraphic styles. The Qing cash (Xian Feng issues in particular) are well-done counterfeits. I will have to study them more to pick out the fakes. In the meantime, I will not buy any large coins from Xian Feng, and I recommend other to not either.

The calligraphy on all of these counterfeits is of the wrong style.

I won't say everything in this seller's inventory is fake, but one should treat it as such. There are some high-value items here, and there are a few obvious forgeries. This is a seller to be avoided at all costs.

yikes, perhaps posting a comprehensive list of sellers not selling Chinese fakes would have been easier.

It is. The list is 8 or so sellers long. But that would allow no practice in spotting fakes on ebay.

Why would anyone buy stuff from China, the leading seller of fakes, replicas or copies of items from around the world? It is not a safe investment.
