BHOPAL:
This state was established around 1723.AD by a general who was in the service of the Mughal Emperor Aurangazeb. He became independent after the death of the Emperor and carved out the area that later became the Princely state of Bhopal. It has a unique history of having Islamic feminine rulers continuously for a long period. Bhopal flourished unde them. Bhopal had indigenous coins until 1897.AD and afterwards British unified coinage was the only accepted currency. Now it is capital of the state of Madhya Pradesh.
