Interesting drnsreedhar! On the most recently posted coin, what does the additional text above the date and the additional text above the ruler say?
"If you climb a good tree, you get a push."
-----Ghanaian proverb

"The danger we all now face is distinguishing between what is authentic and what is performed."

Text above the ruler is "sultan al mulk". That above the date shows "sulta" clearly. Rest is off flan. Date also is corrupt.

Assam - Ahom Kingdom
Ahom Kingdom said to have come from Yunnan in Peoples Republic of China ruled Assam, the erstwhile Kamarupa for nearly 600 years (1228-1826 AD). This land then became part of Colonial British India and later the state of Assam in the Republic of India.

Their coinage is very impressive. They are mostly octagonal with high relief legend in Assamese language showing the name of the issuing authority and at times the date of issue in Saka Era (SE). It began in 78.AD. Now it is 1938.SE.

Given below is a coin of Gowreenatha Simha (1780-95.AD)
This tiny coin shows the name of the ruler in full written over both the sides. The legend reads "Sri Gowreenathasya" meaning issued by Sri(salutation) Gowreenatha Simha.

Awadh/Oudh/Oude
The north Indian princely state of Awadh known as Oudh and Oude also, came into being during the reign of the Mughal ruler Muhammad Shah. The rulers were known as Nawabs. It became part of the British protectorate and eventually part of the British India. The area that was once Awadh is now situated mainly in the state of Uttarpradesh and partly in Nepal.
