Went to a fund raiser Texas Holden tourney last night and received permission to search an old school yard 3 miles from home. Sure it has been searched as there was detector in the town for years, since gone now 10 years. School could be close to 100 years old. New school built ? early/mid '60's. Webekin

From what I've read on MD sites, the new technology of detectors and with the different size coils makes any well hunted sites give up more finds. No site is ever hunted out completely.

Hit the trashiest spot there that you can find. That's where the oldies are, masked by iron and other junk metals. Good luck.

School was a bust, huntedthe current school, as they were taking out the play ground equipment. Hunted where the swings
were removed, found 1975 dime first, followed by a 1996 quarter, a 1997 Jefferson, and 2 memorials. Found 2 small charms, and a snap button, SLA? Angels, name not known. Today is the first day using my new GarrettPro-Pointer AT, great pinpointer. Webekin

Returned for another try this evening, went to the concession stand working from the outside of the service windows to the back stop fence, and back. Found 1'95 quarter, 2004 dime, and 3 pennies. Exercise, I'm getting plenty of excercise. Webekin

The Garrett Pro Pointer is a good investment.
Makes it so much easier and saves a LOT of time.

At this rate, you should pay for the gas to get to the first site in about twelve years....

Best thing you can do is pay a kid to salt your own back yard with junk silver, then dig it up.

Seriously, you're well on your way to enjoyment.

keep hitting it. Especially after it rains. Not knowing the detector you have, I think you'll be surprised at what you'll find as you pull the trash out.

Good luck.

Returned to the concession atthe school and found a quarter,2 dimes, 1 nickel, and 5 pennys. They have taken out all the bleachers,so don't expect the future tobe very good at this concession stand. Webekin
