Wow Shane!
What an absolutely fabulous display.
My only change would be to have the blank in a PCGS slab and perhaps to be able to see the face of the die?

(Unless of course if the face of the die has been destroyed) in which case your design is quite appropriate.

yeh unicorn not much left of the face.... all gone a small part of the rim . and yes the slabb will be a talking point and well can't really see the value in sending a blank to the states for the slabbing it really don't need a grade its just for show and only worth a few bucks this should be ok in the future for the grandkids I was going to give it to him this birthday coming up he is 10 and becoming quite a collector like his pop so glad you like it what will I tell him its worth in a shop what would I have to pay for it

I've always liked that coin, and I'd love to get into dies, I just don't know who sells them in my woods.
Am I missing something or why is the die face not backwards? Hub?

I think it looks well done just sad to hear you glued the coins but you have to keep them from moving somehow. My only critique is the design on the reverse seems wrong since that part may be facing a wall. Just a suggestion but maybe add their name and or birthdate date. As for the value I think a gift like that would be priceless but I could see something like that going for 100-150 in a shop maybe more.

The Royal Australian Mint defaces the dies before selling them, grinding down the coin design completely; shanew has just glued a normal coin onto it to make it look a bit more like how it originally looked.
As for the perspex sign, the only thing I would edit is change the word "Australia" to "Australian", and maybe replace the Queen's portrait (from the dollar note) with one based on the coinage portrait of the time; I don't know how easy that would be.
I don't really think the display itself would "add value" for a collector, though. If it were an official RAM display made for their museum, perhaps that would add value, but not a home-made setup like yours, however nice and professional it looks.
Don't say "infinitely" when you mean "very"; otherwise, you'll have no word left when you want to talk about something really infinite. - C. S. Lewis

Quote: I did the name change also and still no one will give a value I did... but it's just a guess fabricated from thin air. Quote: As for the value I think a gift like that would be priceless but I could see something like that going for 100-150 in a shop maybe more. They are very well made
