Do you have a link for those? I might buy them out of interest.

Some of the coins in the first link would be very hard to spot, for me anyway. The others I could tell apart, especially with the use of the same die, but it just goes to show how far people are going to churn out coins that are what, a pound each? Nice info TIF.

Wow. Once I get past all of this trust stuff, it looks like I need to dig through my old coin binders and do a bunch of "real or fake" posting..

For the lovers of the faux Grass backrounds of "ancient.necropolis.london", who's listings have often been shown here by Newbies "proud of their first / latest acquisitions", they may be interested to learn that "ancient.necropolis.london" is now listed in Forum Ancient Coins "NOTORIOUS FAKE SELLERS LIST".

For further reference, see HERE.

Excellent to know Masis, thank you!
Oh, just to add, that list is a great reference and can save you a lot of 'heartache'.

Kev, maybe we should use that crappy faux Grass backround for our coin photos, this seems to attract the "big wallet" Buyers.

Or, just as "ancient.necropolis.london" did, we could also copy & paste the London Ancient Coins's ("Jason Smith" amazingly stopped doing that once I notified the owner of L.A.C.) ebay listing titles that have no relation to the acutal coins we are listing, seems some Buyers do not care (or read?).

Or we could write in our "me" page that we each live in the Tower of "Merry Ole" London.

I might just go all out & rig my camera tripod up on the local golf course & list that the coin was dug up from the middle of Wembley stadium or start selling moon coins...

Not a fake, but an error in the listing. Seller has it as the extremely rare Roman emperor Majorian when in fact it is a small, common bronze of emperor Arcadius with SALVS REIPVBLICAE/Victory dragging captive reverse. If you look closely you can see "ARCADI" on the obverse. Compare the obverse with that of my avatar, a real Majorian.

The listing:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/36099901396...RK:MEBIDX:IT

I emailed the seller to point it out and they said he/she was going to correct the listing but now, nearly three days later, no correction has been done. Because of this I can't help but think they are attempting to deceive an unwary buyer. At least the seller didn't price it like a real Majorian (which would be at the very least hundreds of dollars).
