It sounds like it's probably the type in your Numista link? If you click on "read more" you'll see a lot of pictures of examples with unsplit dates, though unfortunately none dated 1586. EDIT: comparing the variants online, your coin is definitely 1586, Kopicki 482, with the NH monogram top of reverse near the date (Numista confusingly calls it NI). Compare this example from a Polish auction. |

Yep.
Polish schillings from Batory's reign are considerably less common than the later ones from Sigismund III. Too bad for the hole, but it's quite tiny, still an attractive coin the way I look at things.
If I recall correctly the initials ID are for Jan (Iohannes) Dulski, the crown treasurer, which makes the NH probably the initials of the Olkusz mintmaster (which I can look up later if anyone cares).
Numista can benefit from more photos for the Poland listings, where there is a thorough list of the Kopicki variants in the date table, but not enough info to identify a coin to each one. If you are a member, please post a Modification Request with your photo, and the Poland referee will add it.

Yikes! Yes, you were right all along j1m. Sorry! (and for creating excess confusion). ANd the NH is for Nicolaus Hevel(Hevelius) mintmaster at Olkusz. Too many mints and variants for PLC coins  ... and I should pay closer attention like you did |

january1may (Numista confusingly calls it NI). according to this, look what is in catalog:  The information was added according to Kopicki, but I can agree this time, it should be NH. |
