shayez New Member Israel 47 Posts	Posted 08/17/2024 5:18 pm I bought about 10 proofs from 57-64 and this is what I found. Any opinions appreciated. Paid on average $27 for each proof set. And there were already opened! What a surprise to still find these. The fields on the 1c are not clear it's like there is some toning? Or milkeynes? Maybe the 10c won't make it. panzaldi Bedrock of the Community United States 17393 Posts	Posted 08/18/2024 11:17 am generating decent photos with proofs to determine anything over PF66 or 67 is not easy. many of your photos are not good enough to assess all the little flaws that can exist and which make a huge difference in grade. the 60 qtr looks DCAM but the bust appears to have some minor issues. the others I can't tell. the 58 half may be PF64 tops the cloud (milk) occurs on proofs. collectors of proof coins what pristine examples. there are couple theories on why this occurs. one is the chemicals used in the planchet annealing process. another is ED where the coins are improperly stored. since your coins are out of the original holders this could be the culprit. being stored in PVC holder can also do this. trying to remove anything from a proof can end up eliminating any remaining premium. I wouldnt touch them. maybe get some airtites or a lucite holder from a grade standpoint I think most are mid-grade proofs and don't have any premium. there is no way I would submit any of these and I wouldnt be surprised if a couple of them would be considered impaired Report this Post to the Staff

That's a lot of proof sets to find what appears to me to be one 1960 Quarter CAM. Overall nice coins - enjoy them for what they are but not CAM.
