Hey hey diggers! Out checking some fields just ahead of the farmers. It won't be long now until the crops are in for the year and the wait to harvest begins. On a late 1800s farm site, it yielded six large cents. A Victoria, two Edward's and a George also two PEI large cents. None in great shape but still fun to find. I'm hoping that the trip back next season will give up the silver!

Considering their present condition, if they were mine I'd clean them. Start with a soak in distilled water for a few days, then pat them dry with a cotton towel. If that doesn't improve them much, soak them in acetone for a week or so. Them image them again and show us the results. Then there may be further suggestions about what to do next.

Another nice haul.
Those must be fun to dig.
I clean my U.S. cents in store brand hydrogen peroxide and then use a nylon brush. That usually works well for me.

Nice day a field. Not really in that bad a shape as most coppers that age come out rather toasty. Thanks for posting!
