The suspects received over $50,000 in cash and other goods for the artificial gold, according to a Bend Police Department news release. Bend police recovered some of the money used to purchase the artificial gold bars. The suspects were arrested Tuesday at their homes in Bend and jailed in the Deschutes County Juvenile Department. westernsky Pillar of the Community United States 7453 Posts	Posted 03/27/2017 11:59 pm I bet the "victims" didn't figure out they had been "victimized" until they tried to flip the bars at their local "We Buy Gold" joint. They never considered that teenagers selling gold bars on Craig's List, probably at below market value, might be a problem. They let pure greed, instead of common sense, make their decision for them.
