The "ribbon" in question is the piece of cloth on the obverse that's part of the headdress, running down from her cap, behind her hair, behind the torch flame, and then down and out to the rim of the coin. The "narrow ribbon" stays much the same width as it approaches the rim. The "wide ribbon" gets noticeably wider. It's a subtle difference, but it's there. Not something I'd notice just looking at the coin without magnification. In Bojan's post with four coins, the four coins are, from the top: narrow, wide, wide, narrow. Don't say "infinitely" when you mean "very"; otherwise, you'll have no word left when you want to talk about something really infinite. - C. S. Lewis Report this Post to the Staff
