I guess this as good a category in which to post this as any. Clearly not genuine, perhaps at one time silver plated or washed, but now obviously brass. Weight is a mere 16.66 grams. There is a spot in the edge's reeding that would appear to be where a sprue was ground off. I guess the question would be was this once a counterfeit meant to fool the ignorant or unwary when the real deal was in circulation, or just some modern (and completely unconvincing) reproduction?
My vote is that this is a modern day, made-for-tourists piece rather than a contemporary counterfeit. It looks too crude and light to pass as a real one in actual commerce.

Yeah, simply too light to possibly work as a contemporary counterfeit, and really too sloppy to be any serious numismatic fake. Does seem to have some age though... perhaps intended as a luck charm or something?
