Hi all can you advise on this American Eagle the outer area looks frosted and the centre looks polished. Has someone done this after leaving the mint or was it minted this way? Really easy to see the difference with coin in hand. Other Eagles I have look nothing like this one. Thanks in advance.

Your pics make it difficult for me see what you are talking about due to the light reflected areas.

I purchased several uncirculated commemorative silver dollars directly from the US Mint during the same time your ASE was produced. They typically show the same surface variations that you have described,

I've been told it was related to the die state at the time the coins were struck.

From your images, IMO, your coin appears to be a typical example.
