btw, the basic steps I do on a desktop computer, where it might be easier
1) load photo into favorite image editor
2) rotate and crop the image
3) resize to about 800 x 800 pixels
4) save in .jpg form to local drive
5) view file directory of that local drive
6) if file shows as larger than 300k, increase jpg compression ratio in photo editor, and go back to step 4
7) otherwise upload .jpg photo file to here
8) attach photo to a message and submit it
