Hello everyone, I just got around to organizing and storing my finds from this past year. I think I got out more than I ever did in 2018 and it definitely showed. I found 174 clad coins: 108 pennies, 15 nickels, 32 dimes, and 19 quarters. I found my first every silver coin, and I also found lots of interesting little things. Here are some highlights from the past year.

Was detecting a property that was farther out in the county around July, and I hit this spot on the side that just kept producing these rifle casings. I probably could've dug up 20 more at the rate I was going, but I ended up heading home before I could since I had already been out for several hours.

Cool relics.

A couple ounces of copper.

Clad! There were a lot more quarters/dimes/nickels but those numbers seemed to slowly dwindle every time I wanted some fast food...

Here's a pretty neat little project I did with all of the lead/wheel weight/fishing sinkers etc. that I found. Since the melting point for lead is so low, I gathered up all of my finds that I could and melted them down to make these sweet little bars and rounds. I love the aspect of taking what most would consider junk, and turning it into something that looks pretty neat.

Okay, this was a pretty awesome score. I was detecting around an old wooden amphitheater on a school playground and around this one bench I kept getting these faint, scattered high tones. I eventually broke out the pinpointer and just under a leaf, boom! An earring popped out. I kept scanning the area with the pinpointer, and not only did I find both earring ends to the set, but I also found the actual price tag for them! Sadly, I never found the other earring, I looked all over and revisited the spot multiple times. Oh well, maybe I'll find it someday.

Cool coin from Peru! Only foreign find of the year.

And of course, my one silver for the year, and my first ever.

Of course, there was tons of junk and iron, but 2018 was great. Can't wait to see what this year will bring! Happy hunting
