I got a cheaper one from my parents for Christmas as a surprise. I still have not had the chance to try it out. Would love to look for coins but I'm kinda scared. Weather is getting good enough that I could,

Every chance I get. I drive hundreds of miles every year to reach new spots.
Or, as close as a couple miles from home.

When my fields are available I'm out detecting pretty much everyday,my enthusiasm shows no sign of dwindling even after a lot of years of searching.

Well I did some mdetecting last springtime. The townspeople followed me around and harrased me, I will do a beach maybe next spring. One thing I got last spring was this musketball. It was on the Ben Arnold Trail. If anyone would like to know where Arnold camped with his regiment. I can guide you.

I haven't looked at it for a while. It seems that the summers humidity is taking a toll on it. It used to be more pale in appearance.
It is .75 CAL

Not often enough. I don't have one for now but when I do get one I plan on taking an old Morgan and bury it in the back yard at different depth so I can get used to the machine. Do the same with copper and see if there's any difference.

I'm thinking about moving back to Florida and live on the east coast and detect the beach bcuz of the Spanish fleet that sunk back in late 1700's that had just got done making brand new coinage. They are all technically uncirculated.!!!

I've had a detecter for 10 years and only used twice. I'm gonna go back to the small town I grew up in. I got a buddy there that said there are a lot of old abandoned house in town and out in the country. I'm hoping that a long time ago some silver fell out of their pockets when getting out of the their cars.

Just tallied my finds for the last few years. 270 silver coins including Morgan and Peace dollars, dozens of Indian cents, 1300+ wheats and hundreds of other oldies. 40+ pieces of jewelry mostly silver. Can't find 'em if you don't get out!

We are out every Sunday until the land gets scarce due to crops or lambing.
