There is so much luster on this one. Mirror like finish!

Seems like a nice quarter - "PL" who knows. The top 2 pictures almost look whizzed with a fine copper wire wheel.

In the 3rd photo, what's happening in the field behind Georges' ponytail.

Thank you, guys! I really didn't consider the possibility of alteration on this coin. I accepted the mirror like finish and the horizontal lines behind Washingtons ponytail as flow lines and natural.

Now I can see the whizzed lines clearly running across the entire coin and the halo around the bust where the lines didn't affect the surface as much.

Went back to the listing from this reputable seller and it was removed which even though it was from March of last year is unusual. All my purchases from this seller I can usually reference on ebay for over a year. His paragraph descriptions are standard for the thousands of coins he sells but altered coins do get a sentence changed in the middle of the description (if you check) about possible alteration.

I have to thank you guys and CCF once again for all the education, support, and services you provide.

Changing the Title of this to '1942 D whizzed Washington quarter'
