Spence has my respect as an expert in these ancient coin issues.

I however have no clue of the rarity and relative value of this coin.
Imagine I was a starving laborer living in 1412, in the region then known as Aachen - then I would have treasured this silver coin.
It perhaps could have purchased me some food. Or shelter?
I'm guessing this was a valuable item to own 832 years ago in 1412 - would enjoy reading Spence views on that.
