Short story. I remembered my in laws acquired 2 of these Fat man dollars, when someone living in the same village decided to sell their family fortune, having good amount to sell and raise money for whatever causes of their own matter. My in law bought these for 100 yuan a piece back in the mid-90's, about $15 US dollars each with current exchange rate, not knowing if these were genuine or not, it later came into my possession once they knew I collected coins, and I had these 2 coins today still reside some place in my albums.

This post had raise my curiosity when reading Albert comments, if the possibility of genuine Fat man dollar had used various alloys mixed in when many of these were strike, beside the silver content, the lack of quality control back then would be questionable.

Do not forget to include tax with purchase, unless the state you lived in are exempt from it.

Kanji (#28450;#23383;) are Chinese characters that are used in the Japanese writing system. They are a key part of Japanese writing, along with hiragana and katakana

I may have toss a few 34 D/D in lower grades back in selling when I first started collecting Mercury dimes, didn't caught onto it until I start getting into varieties and error collecting, even harder as it wear down. This appear to be in VF - EF condition. Nice!

Depending condition, date and denomination on the radar note, it maybe worth a few dollar extra or more, the almost ladder note to many is worth face value.

I name it by year_mintmark_series_denomination (if needed)_side, if a close up detail is needed, I would add CU1, CU2...

Example: 1945_P_MercuryDime_Obv, 1945_S_MercuryDime_Rev and 1945_S_MercuryDime_Rev_CU1

Perhaps going to the FUN show or one of the bigger coin convention will have few booth of expertise there that can help in evaluating.

Wexler's IMO is one option I would approach in sending to get attributed if getting to these bigger convention isn't a option, it isn't expensive, cost more to ship and insuring the coin, website detail coin examination service, it only indicate loose coins but nothing about evaluating coins in slabs which you have to inquire.
