Hello All!

I was looking through my coins today and came across this 1959-d LMC. I thought that the date looked a little weird so I looked up the double dies for this date and it seems to match wddo-01 on wexler's website. I see extra thickness, especially in the date.

I would love to get your input! Thank you in advance!

These devices are all normal in size. The DDO devices are much wider/taller:

Note the sweep back of the '1' on the date? Extra thickness there on that device and others.
When compared side by side, then you see the differences:

The Philly DDO:

Creating the side by sides will show you the differences. If the devices are smaller on some die states, keep in mind that these dies have been polished, making the devices look smaller. But the doubled dies will show an enlarging of the devices. Note the centers of the devices. Don't look at the outer edges of the devices. Machine Doubling and die wear show up on these coins. Target on the centers of the devices to see the enlarging of the devices. That is where to look for a doubled die.
