I totally thought I finally found one for a second.... Would be nice if I could find a double die now... at least I am getting better with rpm's though lol
Thank you for the tip on where to look for double dies though! I think it will help me a lot
I was looking through my coins today and came across this 1959-d lmc. I thought that the date looked a little weird so I looked up the double dies for this date and it seems to match wddo-01 on wexler's website. I see extra thickness, especially in the date.
I would love to get your input! Thank you in advance!
@-makecents-That is really interesting. Sure would love to find one of those! lol
@Dearborn I do think it is odd that I can't match it but with so many rpm's that year it seems like it would be possible for there to be a new one discovered. Honestly, I would be really excited about that, no matter how slight the rpm is.
Do you think I should send it in to have someone take a look at it?
@Dearborn ah ok that makes sense! I really do appreciate the information... I have learned so much from just being apart of this community and I love it!
@dearborn I didn't think this one was a double die at all... I haven't been lucky enough to find a double die yet ... It was just a question that had popped into my head.
Thank you for the info though! I am curious to see if everyone agrees with you on the rpm! That was one of the ones I was thinking it might be also.
Hello everyone I have this 1957 D lwc that has an rpm but I am not quite sure which one it is. There are a lot of them for this year and they can look pretty similar. Any help with identifying it would be much appreciated! Thank you in advance.
Also, on a side note I had a question about double dies and rpm's. Do they happen together? Like, can you have a double die and a rpm?
I found a 1950 D rpm. It matches variety vistas rpm 002. I almost passed it up but decided to take a quick look since the D did look a little weird and there it was, plain as day!
Thank you! @ Spence I already put it in a 2x2 to keep it safe for sure. Not sure if I will end up keeping it but I do like it and want it to be protected.
Hello all! I know it has been a long time but life gets crazy sometimes lol. I hope you have all been well!
Anyway I have a 1937 Lincoln wheat cent that at first glance I thought it was just damaged but after looking closer I believe it is actually an error. I believe it is a lamination error or maybe struck through grease... I'm not sure so that is why I am posting it here to get your expertise and input! There is not rim damage or excessive metal build up which is why I do not believe it is just a damaged coin.
I really appreciate all of the input You all have given me so far!
I am really surprised and excited that this is possibly a new listing!!!!
What should I do with it (other than keep it safe lol)? Is there a way to get it attributed? I never thought this would happen to me so I never considered what to do if it did actually happen.
