Take a look, let me know what you think. No other VAM comes close to the tripling on this. Die scratches are hard to get a photo of on Liberty.
My question is once someone finds the first one who does something like this get sent to?
Any idea on approx value of something like this?
Thanks for any help.

Rest in Peace

Cool coin. There are several 1921 P with triple stars, like VAM-126. But your whole coin pics are not good enough to focus in to see any die cracks or file lines, etc. to further identify.

You probably know Vamworld does not always show pics of all the details. Leroy Van Allen published lists of new varieties. Recent new varieties may or may not be uploaded to Vamworld as yet.

Leroy has retired from attributing new varieties and now several others have taken up the effort. The folks at Vamworld will help with this. To possibly get a new variety designation you'd need to send the coin in to be examined.

The Vamworld discussion group is where to ask.

No I didn't know that. I spent 2 full days going threw each and every VAM that had the tripling and tried to match mine up with any. Then I got to 110 and that's the only one that like hit every single thing my coin has. Would you like other or better close up of anything?
Otherwise like you said I'll just work on it with the folks on VAM world

There are a few members on VAMworld that know 1921 Morgans and are considered experts. Two of them are already helping you out.

Yup I also noticed Vamworld members are helping you. It might be worth the effort to send it in for identification if just posting pics doesn't work.

Yup they are obviously "experts".
A lot of information to know and I got a lot to learn.
Still donot think I'll be figuring out what kind of coin this is.

messydesk on Vamworld has a post about the procedure to send a coin for ID or new variety. I think for a while they suspended this as Leroy was stepping away. These guys are the experts who determine VAM varieties. Ask messydesk if they are accepting coins for consideration.

It's not that hard to send a coin. I sent a Peace dollar to Leroy several years ago but the die cracks and clash weren't enough to get a variety designation. It was still fun to send in and get a rejection letter from Leroy. I'll always keep the letter.
