Hello, I found a 1947 dime that is not been minted on the back only on the front. It is blank on the back and I am trying to find out some more information about this coin and possibly what it is worth if it is real. Any help will be good for me. Thank you. I am new to collecting error coins but have been collecting coins for quite some time.

Deliberately ground down, I'd say.

I would be curious about the weight. The circular lines make me think this has been on a lathe to remove the reverse image.

Coin blanks (planchets) are smooth. Chris is likely correct, due to the circular lines it was probably etched on a lathe.

Oh, and by the way, though it really does not matter in this case, when submitting your coin photos please always post the coins in their normal orientation and also crop your photo to eliminate the unneeded borders. It makes it much easier for us to assist you.
