I have several sets of gold and silver american eagle sets still in the unopened mint boxes. I am going to send them to be graded, but can't find the mint's id number for what each set it. My account with the mint needs a password reset (but the email address is no longer valid).

I know there were numbers that designated what each set was. Is there a link somewhere that has this info?

Just open a new Mint account....different Email address. I have three valid accounts

I didn't think the product number was on the shipping label but admit I never looked for it

Edit: Just checked three shipping boxes...no way to tell what's inside. Just shipping info

Guido, you mention in another thread that you don't have time to collect. Why would you send these in to be 3rd party graded? Unless there's something rare in the box or you just get lucky on the grading, odds are that you'll just lose money in the process.

I bought these coins back in 2006 and I think 2011 when they came from the mint and never opened them. They are the 20th anniversary gold and silver coins, the 20th anniversary ASE 3 coin set and the 25th anniversary 5 coin ASE set. I had planned to get them graded because they were more valuable in my mind at the time. They have sat in my closet since then. I just never had time to get them done.

Now, with all my Dad's coins that I just can't hold onto at this point, I decided to get these graded. I will keep one set of each of these, but most likely sell the rest. I don't need multiple sets of these coins. So I'm not buying new coins now, but some of these I will keep for investment value which may or may not work out some day.

Foxwoods, I remember looking these up a few years ago when I wanted to put stickies on the boxes and found what each was based on the codes on the outside of the boxes. But now I can't get into the account since it's been so long since I logged on.

I can call the mint tomorrow and have them reset my email address so I can get a new password. I can then see my orders there and figure out which box is which sets (at least that is what I hope!). I need to know that for when I send them in for grading since there are different numbers of coins in each box, as well as several sets per box in some cases.

Otherwise, I would just set up a new account.

The weight per set for 20th vs 25th Anniversary sets will help you narrow it down (UNLESS you have them mixed in with other coin sets).
Also, check on the postal/shipment date to distinguish which is which.

I hope that help.
