Yeah, Dave, that's why I really homed in on this one. I wanted to get a nice example from the Nawlins mint and many of the ones I have come across have a sort of weak strike. I guess that mint is known for weak strikes more than anything?
Most dates you can hold out and find a decent struck coin, but some dates can be a real challenge. If you collect VAMs it can even be a challenge for some common date varieties.
MS62 for me, though the luster if better than the photos show (I think it might be) MS63 then.
