how thorough will you be searching? will you be separating coppers and looking for all WAMs and CAMs? what will you be keeping from the nickels? I go cross-eyed if I try plowing through a box of cents without taking a break. usually takes me at least a couple of hours just on cents if I'm thorough. nickels are faster, maybe an hour...tops.

Did another five rolls of nickels today. Found a 1946-S, 1999 Canadian, 1940, 1940-S, and a something.

Here's a link to the thread I posted about the something.

With nickels, I'm only keeping War Nickels and earlier (exceptions for anything with an S-mint, any key and semi-key dates post 1945, and any interesting errors should I find them). Also keeping everything foreign because I love collecting foreign.

Half a box of nickels.

90% were 2013 but I did find a pair of 1955D, a 1941, 1946, and a 1929 Buffalo.

I have been doing pretty good lately when the nickel boxes have been mostly 2013's for some reason including this Buffalo and 4 War Nickels out of 3 boxes.

In the pennies I keep all coppers I also pull the 98 99 2000 to check for Wide AM's 92 92d for Close AM's I keep all 2009 also pull the 83 to check for double dies 84 for double dies and 95 95d for double dies..... I also separate ALL coppers by year and mint mark then roll them that way so I can come back later and check whatever years may have double dies errors etc.... And I seriously plow right through two boxes of pennies and two boxes of nickels daily starting yesterday but have been doing that many here and there before yesterday... just now it will be EVERYDAY lol..... Takes 1 hour per box of nickels and 1 1/2 hours per box of pennies and I just sit down plow through em consecutively... Just finished todays batch and here are the results for yesterday and today:
Yesterdays Nickels yielded:
3 War Nickels
1 dateless buffalo
40 1939-1955(mostly commons)
6 goofballs including 1 russian nickel(dont know what its called),1 euro nickel,1 10 centimos from Venezuela,1 20 pence, 1 from new zealand and 1 Canadian nickel
and here's the shocker: 12 2009d nickels.... I almost thought they weren't worth pulling cause I find SO many of em till I just read they only minted like 30ish million of em

Todays Nickels:

2 War Nickels
36 1939-1955(Nothing Special)
1 Goofball:1 Euro Nickel
5 2009d Nickels

Just a side note: I pulled a 1910s Penny today and a 1998 Wide AM yesterday among many others worth well over face value
HAPPY HUNTING EVERYONE :)

hey jack, is there a date on that buff? I think I can almost see a vague last 2 digits. will you try to bring the date out if it's not discernible?

Edit: nevermind, I'm an idiot. I see now that it was stated as a 1929 buff..."see what happens when you don't read EVERYTHING" *voice in the back of my head*
