Obviously the condition of the coins matter a great deal, but in general 100 average circulated coins usually sell for $10 to $15. For 400 coins I would expect to pay $40 to $50. Derek

I usd to visit a local dealer (sadly deceased) and he had a huge tub of junk coins for 10p each. It was full of uncirculated Africian coins - not rare or old - but in fantastic condition, nice big Cu-ni ones. Africian coins might seem exotic but they seem to turn up in piles - not sure why.

I buy world coins for $15 per kilogram. A kilo usually has 200 coins or a little more.

Depends on the mix,
with fair amount of older (50 years+) $7-$10 per pound (100ish coins).
With more modern mix $5-6 per 100.
Silver, older BU, key dates etc changes everything.

I can buy a pound of world coins for $4.50. I am not sure how many coins I usually get but most of them a nice coins with with a good mix of old and new (oldest coin I have got was from the 1850's). Even some silver in there at times.

I can get foreign coins by the pound from local dealers anywhere between $3-$7 per pound depending on mix and dealer. All the ones that I have gotten from online sources have been mostly modern junk, so I stopped buying online. Occasionally I might see a decent lot on ebay with good pics that might get me interested. Generally per pound it could be between 75-150 coins. All depends on size and material of coins. You can really get a lot of small aluminum coins by the pound.
