And...for comparison, the mintage for V75 was 75k, fittingly.

And for the V75 gold eagle it was 1945!

I stopped in at the LCS to snag my 2025 ASE bullion coin. Asked them about the 2024 bullion with the Star Privy mark. Had my raw example in my pocket to show them. . .the GM of the shop said they would not be getting any; I was the first person to ask about them.

Here is another take on why the mint may be adding them to ASEs:

Well, I'm sticking with "to increase sales" as the reason for more privy marks.

As a completeist I don't really concern myself if it's being done by greed or why exactly they think it's a good idea to make these privy mark ASEs. It's not a huge financial burden if it's kept to a couple a year and they are generally available. Mainly I have to get over my FOMO. I wish I hadn't bought the slabbed version now, but I'll keep it.

Another one added to the collection. Now do I add the privy marked bullion coin to my bullion album set or hold it loose until we have the privy flag, dog, fish, cannon, breast cancer ribbon etc.?

I'm storing my ASE's in two segments: a) Bullion; b) Proofs, Burnished, Sets. The bullion examples don't take up very much space at all. The latter nearly fills a large tote as they're mostly in OGP and we all know how much space those boxes take up.

@gilly: I'm also hoping the privy mark craze for the ASE issues doesn't get out of hand. Crossing my fingers the three military service anniversary proof Eagles are sold via pre-orders and not via a " free-for-all " as was done with the flowing hair medals were sold last year.

I had just bought a new Lighthouse case for this year, because the one I've always had just filled up, one on ever year, except the 2 in 2021.
Then they came out with the star privy and ruined it, had to have 2024 split into the 2 cases.

I added an extra blank page for me to label just for privy ASEs in my Dansco album.

John,

Sounds like an Excellent idea, Sort of for Unforeseen examples, ...

You Bullion Die Hards are to be Commended for Your Determination and Devotion, To the American Silver Eagles Bullion Program its Very Admirable, To say the least, Congrats All, ..

If the Privy mark frenzy continues into Mint Marked Examples, V75, for instance, And keeping with All Originally Packaged examples, I would be adaptable to Re-Thinking My position, ...
