1968 D, 1987 D & 1989 P Nickels W/ Full Steps?

Last night I got a wild hair and decided to start searching for full steps nickels in my mint sets. I believe I came across a few, when I checked the PCGS website for comparisons these ones were close to or in some cases even better looking than the ones they had graded as MS full steps. My eye still isn't great when it comes to these things though so I figured I would run it by you guys. All of these pictures were taken through the original packaging of the mint sets so I apologize in advance, I figure I'll leave them packaged unless they seem worthy of sending in for grading.

Here is the 1968 D Nickel that is in question, now I realize that the definition isn't as clear in this one but I have read that they are a little more lenient on the older coins but again I am no expert.

Next up is the 1987 D Nickel, on this one the definition on the steps is much more clear although there is a nick over the left window and the right side of the steps look a little broken.

Finally, here is the 1989 P Nickel which definitely by far has the clearest definition on the steps and the coin is in the best shape. This one I am almost certain would be graded in MS with FS. Let me know what you guys think.

*** Edited by Staff to Add Denomination to Title. It's essential to have it in the title. ***

I was going through some change and I believe I found a weak strike on this 1985 D Dime. I looked online for comparisons and found some that look very similar. Is this an error that adds any value or is it even rare?

I'm not an expert on the subject but I believe from what I've seen in other posts and coins that I've found personally, this is most likely considered machine doubling.

Is Fine to VF even worth having graded with this type of coin?

Hi all, I was going through some of my old coins and this one kind of popped out to me. Looked like a lot of nice detail, much better than the other mercury dimes I have. What do you guys think, is this considered "full bands" for a Mercury Dime?

Hi everyone, I was looking at my proof set from 1982 and noticed that the S mint mark had a strange splotch on it. At first I brushed it off as tarnish but now I am wondering if it is damage that happened during minting. The placement seems odd to me. I haven't broken it out of the plastic case yet so it is difficult to get good pictures, I figured I would see if you guys think it's even worth doing. Anyways here are some pictures, let me know what you guys think.

Didn't see anything interesting on the Nickel. I did figure out how to use the camera on my computer though. Here is a picture from the microscope of the rim damage.

So does that type of damage devalue the coin greatly? Sad because it's such a beautiful coin besides that rim.

I was trying to do that but I run a different camera on this laptop and I can't figure out how to switch it over to the microscope. I will try and figure it out. My original thought was PMD but when I zoomed in there was somewhat uniform grooving as if it were machine made but I am just not experienced enough to make that call. Here is a little more zoomed in picture from my phone.

Hello again everyone,

I have a 1968 mint proof set and I believe two of the coins (50C and 25C) are cameo or possibly deep cameo. The set is in its original packaging from the mint but I noticed what may be ragged clip error on the Kennedy, just above the "I" in LIBERTY.. No idea if that deems the coin worthless or more valuable but I would like to hear some opinions on it. Here are some pictures I took with my iPhone 14 promax. I have a microscope but can't figure out how to get the SD card to work yet so this is the best I can do for now. The plastic casing has scratches and scuffing but the coins themselves are very clean.

Sorry about the quality of the photos, I don't have very sophisticated equipment. Thank you for the feedback though, I figured after looking around and not seeing any other 1969 pennies with the same defect that it was probably just MD. The only reason I was thinking it might not be is because of the distinct lines between some of the letters and their double.

Hello everyone, I am hoping all of you eagle eye experts out there can help me to identify this doubling on my 1969 S penny. To me it looks like authentic die doubling but it doesn't match what most of the pictures online look like so I am worried that my own hopeful bias is hindering my vision. Is it possible that there is another undiscovered variant of DDO on this penny? I am fully prepared to be told it is just machine doubling like I have seen on so many other posts but here are some pictures and I'd love to hear your thoughts. The zoomed in ones are on a crappy microscope and it is also going through the plastic packaging.
