The elves had informed me that a packet has arrived in the giftee's city today!

Also, they said an envelope will be with other giftee soon! This giftee was missing two things from his original packet.

I hope everyone has a good start to the New Year! May this year be blessed with good health, much happiness, a lot of love, heaps of friends and family, and solid prosperity for all of us here!

Lovely gifts, nss-52, and Dearborn! I like silver pesos as they are lustrous and bright. I also like British one penny.
Why? Well, when I started collecting, my Dad gave me a bag of old farthings, halfpennies and pennies. I was told he collected them because one could get different effigies of monarches from Victoria to George Sixth. They came in all different conditions and they were workhorse back then. I still have them.

@Tanman, I had heard about the nice story about the boy and daddy. Lovely to see it being commemorated on Canada's $2 coin! Cool pennies and Mercury dime!

jfransch, hello there, coin advocate: what amazing assortment of coins and banknotes you got!
That huge notes are from Bulgaria and showed the first Bulgarian communist leader on it. Sort of Bulgarian version of Lenin, if you will. This was their first revaluation of lev after Second World War. Then it was devalued in the 1960's.

mrwiskers, what selection of Canadian coins and you even got a camel toe out of it!
Just to refresh my memory, is that an indicator that the coin is counterfeit?

spru, love seeing different versions of our nickels! Nice set of 20th Century nickels. I still think Indian/Buffalo nickel is one of beautiful coins ever issued for the circulation. Hope you have fun with your gift!

Awesome lot, NumisRob! Pleased you liked them!
Re: Uzbek notes, my friend was there visiting home and told me it is difficult to find phased out notes and current notes in uncirculated condition. He tried so hard to find them for me. Same with coins. Uzbekistan is heavily a cash country plus inflation is not quite stable there.
Uzbek currency now shows Latin alphabet instead of Cyrillic alphabet. They are trying to distance from Russia and its colonial history.
Enjoy your American coins as well!
