Quote: In the last year Australians have lost $3.1 billion to scammers. That is an average of over $2,000 average for the year for every Australian wage earner.
I you don't have a credit card, or use phone apps for making payments, it is impossible to make payments for anything, except if you use cash only. I pay my utility bills at the Post Office in cash, which is next door to my bank.
My personal details from my medical insurance company have been hacked and sold on the 'dark web', I am now continually bombarded by calls and texts with links on my mobile. Once, I considered my mobile as the best thing since sliced bread. Now, I consider it as my enemy, and I am forced to consider every phone call and text as suspicious.
I have never been scammed. That is why I no longer have a credit card or use moble apps for making a payment for any reason.
I have used cash budgeting for quite some time now, and my cost of living has decreased, despite Australia suffering the highest inflation rates of the top eight OECD countries

Sounds like a ruse. At a different bank I was getting coins with a card attached to an account which (unbeknownst to me) had been closed for more than a year because I didn't have any money in it.

Quote: Sounds like a ruse. Does the CBA really think people are going to leave or put money in their account when they are not allowed to get coins. There are plenty of other banks out there. Most of them are actually friendly too. Quote: with MMM being restricted from emptying the machines, there may be some coins left for me! I doubt it. Machines are usually emptied long before I get to them. I hope that isn't your real name or the CBA will be onto you pretty quick smart (using a business account for noodling how dare you )

I often empty out their precious exchange machines just for spite.

In light of these restrictions, and to accelerate my progress with collecting $2 coins, I'm going to begin a $250 $2 noodle blitz (which sounds pretty self-explanatory). Any coins I don't find before the restrictions come in will have to either be bought at a premium, or I will have to pray that it miraculously turns up in my change . The $1 coins I still need are pretty easy to find online in uncirculated condition, so that's that sorted.

Buying circulation coins What's the rush? You make it sound like we're heading for noodling armageddon. There are plenty of other banks out there (presuming you really won't be able to get coins from that other bank)

Quote: are you really that dedicated to a bank that won't even let you have a few coins? Yes and no. Yes because it is the bank that I go to most frequently to noodle, and no because I do have other options when it comes to other branches. Quote: What's the rush? I'm not in a rush at all, I just wrote how I would have to buy any coins I still need after the restrictions come in. Quote: You make it sound like we're heading for noodling armageddon. I didn't mean it like that at all. That phrase was written in a humorous way, and I do apologise if it wasn't funny for you.

Mine is. My two local branches cut off access from July 10 and July 17.
One thing which I'm hoping for is that the CBA change machine in a city I will be going on holiday to will still allow normal card access . . .
