It's not unusual for exchange machines to be cleaned out of everything except 10 and 5c coins.

The number of noodlers seems to be growing exponentially and "coloured" coins seems to be their major focus.

Day 215

Noodled 11 rolls of two dollar coins.

Found a 2000 proof. Frosted parts are a bit battered but fields still mirror-like.

Comparison with a normal 2000 $2 (well it is a bit off-centre)

Day 216

Noodled 29 rolls of two dollar coins. Found a decent selection of coloured coins but not the ones I'm looking for.

Day 221

Got a $2000 bag of two dollar coins today but it was full of 2022 aboriginal elder coins.

I'm not even going to add these coins to my tally of noodled coins.

Hello MachinMachinMan,

I would be very interest to know if you return the entire bag to a coin machine, do you indeed get $2000 exactly. I have never done such a test as to coin return machine accuracy.

I never deposit coins in the machine without knowing exactly how much I'm depositing. (Other people obviously just trust what the coin machine says and often don't even check the reject tray after they are finished )

Usually the coin deposit machine is accurate. But there have been plenty of occasions when the machine registers one coin short (never I coin extra). I can live with being ripped off 5c or 10c, but $1 or $2 is annoying so I usually don't put "gold" coins through the machine.

On a couple of occasions the machine has been significantly short (30-40 coins short) and this is when I complain to the staff and they usually credit me with the full amount.

I think you should, you made the effort. But it is up to you.

Day 228

Noodled 14 sachets of two dollar coins. These must have been sitting around at the bank for some time as there wasn't a single coin dated after 2017 amongst them. Quite an enjoyable noodle without all the 2022 coins which I've been drowning in lately.

Unfortunately none of those 2016 olympics or 2017 possum magic coins are the ones I'm still looking for.

Still looking for:
2015 red ANZAC
2016 green olympics
2017 red possum magic
2020 firefighter

Total number of two dollar coins noodled: 20950
Number of different coins found: 84
