Can't tell much from these photos. You'll have to check weight, diameter and give it a ring test when it arrives. Post photos of the coin out of the holder if you decide to keep it.

Well harshly cleaned either deliberatly or by owner.
Its from a old collector home that I know. So they have not
Passed it on with malicious intent, but the collector might have missed a fake. What material do they make them of thats non magnetic if fake?

When photographing coins is more fun than working when you work at home....

Did the ping test and it pinged. Also got a ringlight, wasnt to impressed by it (never blame the photographer)
One should have a silvertesting machine.

It's a fake because of the weight. In Italy you can make very good coins but you must have a different weight. therefore at 24 grams instead of 25 it's an Italian made counterfeit

Thank you for help, you are probably right will recheck weight for fun some day. Used girlfriend's kitchen scale it says 26 with flip and 24without it's a cheap scale. I don't know how much weight can differ on the 5 lires I have seen some listed as 24,90 gram etc . Only thing that's odd is why make a fake with almost correct weight instead of correct

That's the weight they use to get around the law in Italy. It probably is silver however so not a total loss
