For any readers of the Australasian Coin and Banknote Magazine, you may have noticed that there was no December/January issue this year. I'm not sure what has happened but apparently there will be a small hiatus and it will be relaunched as the Australian Coin Review in March 2023 by https://imperialgroup.com.au/

I buy a copy occasionally.
Unlike lots of collectors, I have little interest in NCLT which take up lot of space in articles and advertising.
Everything else that pertains to numismatics is what I read.

Yes,also with the Pre-Dec.,whilst interesting, they have the "look how much I know" slant in the amatuer text.
However its a better read than nothing at all,i hope the new Publishers up the standard of the contributers.

I was wondering what had happened to it. Mr. T - How did you find out about it?
It would be nice to find out if my subscription will be honoured by the new owners and extended by the missing 3 months.

Late edit: Mr. T: Ignore the question, I just found some info @ Coin Curiosity

I think some contributors or advertisers (or someone anyway) got an email from the new owners to be.

Have there been any updates regarding the planned relaunch?

Was keeping an eye out at a local news agency, but nothing on the shelves as yet.

I believe that there is not much to learn about NCLT; you just collect NCLT mint product if you like it.

Numismatics generally is a huge area of knowledge, and I need to learn and read about it; and I find that NCLT and it's marketing is just clutter.
That is why I always do a quick scan read of any numismatic publication before I buy. After more than 50 years of collecting and reading, my numismatic learning curve is still steep.

I will buy NCLT in the numismatic after market, if the price is advantageous, but that happens only rarely

Newsagents were always iffy with C&B Mag.
These days they have cut down all Mags held to popular ones and they are declining.
I would get your local News agent to order one in for you.

I agree with Sel.'s view on this,i know they were struggling for content but the new magazine has to more professional with interesting topics or it will go the same way as the Dodo.

The relaunched ACR is available as an online issue, or as an online issue with archived CAB and ACR or as a printed issue with archived CAB and ACR or as printed plus online issue with archived CAB and ACR. I went the printed issue and archived stuff for $199 as the option to also get the online issue would have been another $50. I'd have preferred to get it from the newsagent but they are going the way of record stores and video rentals.
And yes they are honouring existing subscriptions.

Received my March 2023Vol 2 Issue 1 last week. They are also honouring my paid subscription from last year, so that is good. Some interesting articles including the Kangaroo Office, and a swag of info on banknotes. The magazine itself is a very good quality production IMO
