I acquired a group of coins recently labeled as "Indian". Most of them I could identify, but two have escaped me (which isn't hard given that my knowledge of them is very sparse).

The first appears copper, weighs about 7.81 grams and is 29mm in diameter.

British India, a pice of the Bengal Presidency, Calcutta mint, about 1796-1809 (fixed RY date 37).

There are several similar variations, varying somewhat in diameter and weight. In my Krause catalog, yours appears closest to KM#53.
